The development of core governance documents for each individual development whether it was a regional hospital, an ambulatory surgery center, physician clinics, urgent care facilities, or non-profits for the underserved was a priority for me. Governing documents should be clear, concise, and appropriate for the specific entity. They should be compliant with applicable laws while giving the membership an ownership in the specific rules and regulations (CC&Rs) affecting the overall membership. Clear and exact definitions should be part of the governing documents so there aren’t any loose interpretations to be made.
